Mike's old Module Set

Here's some shots of Mike's 8 foot module set that are under construction.
The switchback track plan on Mike's modules is based on Plan 47 "The Cerro Azul RR." from Linn H. Wescott's 101 Track Plans For Model Railroads
Here's a view of both modules together showing the complete track layout.
Here's a couple of shots from the last show.  Mike has most of the structures built for his modules and has started working on the scenery.
Mike just about has the rock work on this module ready for color.  Most of the structures are American Model Builders "Laser-Kits".  Mike has kitbashed some of the structures & also has a few scratch built structures including a hobby shop from his youth with a complete interior.

Who says you can't do
DETAILING
in N Scale!!!

Just a Small Hobby Shop

This structure is a slightly modified AMB Laser Kits "Dills Market" LaserKit.  Modification entailed deleting some window detail and making the door a modern glass framed door.  The interior detail uses some commercial interior castings and some "scratching."  Walls and counter was made from left over scraps of wood from other Laser Cut buildings.  Interior of this building was inspired by that of a former model railroad shop know as "The Cajun Railroad."  That shop was located in Baton Rouge, La.

Sorry, the photo's a little fuzzy.
The limits of normal film.
I'll try to get a better digital photo at the next show.
